When not to wear a diamond engagement ring

Natural Diamond Engagement Rings

Sharing is caring!

Any way you look at it, a diamond engagement ring is usually an expensive possession. Not easily because of the obvious economic cost that purchasing it entails, but rather because it symbolizes the fact that the person cares enough to spend the rest of their lifestyle with you. It has sentimental value as well as monetary value, and rightly so, it is irresistibly beautiful for miles.

This idea is why many brides do not refuse their engagement jewellery in any way. Keeping this kind of gem on your finger reminds her that there is someone who loves her and cares enough to offer her this beautiful image. That’s human nature and it’s completely understandable.

However, brides who don’t want to sell their Natural Diamond Engagement Rings to pursue certain activities may also find that their ring can be less unexpectedly tarnished and shiny than that of their overinformed friends. There are (thankfully a few) events where you should take the ring, and the most useful ones are listed below.

Mostly physical activity

Have you ever been to a professional sporting event and seen a competitor with a little white band on their ring finger? Think about what was done there. That’s right – gem protection. And remember in college when your PE instructor made you lose your rings along with various valuables at a financial institution? There was also a change of purpose.

Sports are one of the most common causes of damage to a diamond engagement or wedding ring, and can also lead to different, similar styles of ring-related problems. For example, should you injure your finger or hand, it will swell, making it more difficult to remove the ring; On the other hand, the gem can be lost from the finger during sports or exercise, or damaged after being hit by a ball or similar object. It is recommended to leave jewellery at home when preparing for sports or visiting the gym.

Outdoor activities

Outdoor sports, including camping or gardening, are not compatible with engagement jewellery for many of the same reasons as sports. Additionally, there may be a hint of irritation coming from your ring being dirty or muddy and losing its lustre. The camp also introduces the possibility of the ring moving around in the woods, which is guaranteed to be almost impossible to find. The same goes for the beach, where sand can easily slip under a diamond and wash it away.

Twisted

In what is a rare epiphany for many women, indulgent and self-indulgent types don’t mind having an expensive gem. Shopping trips where many clothes are tried on, for example, may not have problems that cause the ring to get caught in the fabric and the clothes can be damaged or ill-fitting. Appointments at the nail salon then again bring the threat of chemicals being sprayed on the ring or left behind. Because of this, stones are exceptionally left at home if they are in the daily game plan. Perhaps too much beauty, sleeping and bathing can also cause damage to the ring, as at some point during the night it will fall off or turn red due to the constant exposure to soap and water.

In addition, there is always the risk of the gem falling into the slot, which is another scary moment for the owner of a diamond engagement ring. Sometimes it’s best to leave your jewellery at home rather than risk it getting broken or misplaced. Your significant other won’t love you anymore, especially if you don’t wear the ring 24/7, so be careful and use your best judgment.
